Arden Dies has become the first UK die-maker to achieve accreditation from BOBST, who runs a die-making certification programme for professional die-makers.
Simon Lynch, Operations and Sales Director at Arden Dies, said, “Arden Dies has been a leading die-maker in the UK for more than half a century and we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of innovation, so we are delighted to be the first in the UK and Ireland to become Bobst certified. The objective of the accreditation is to deliver tooling and press performance within the certified standards agreed by both our businesses and ensure our shared customer base optimise their conversion machine and tooling investments.”
Lynch continues, “We intend to now build on our existing relationship with Bobst and we are confident the new accreditation will help further cement our position as one the UK’s leading die-makers.”
The certification programme involved an on-site audit at Arden Dies’ factory site in Marple, Stockport, as well as a tooling machine validation trial at the Bobst Competence Centre in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Alex Volery, Head of Bobst Tooling Division, said, “We have developed the Die-maker Certification Program because we believe that die-makers play a key role in the delivery of efficient, high-quality converting operations. Converters need to be confident that their die-makers have the skills, understanding and equipment required to produce high-quality dies. The Certification Program is a guarantee of excellence. Therefore, we are delighted to have Arden Dies on board as the first certified die-maker in the UK and Ireland.”
