ARC International Technical Specialist Chris Pugh recently completed the installation of two Packaging Plast Monoblade ink chamber units at a major integrated plant in Southern California. ARC partners with Technoflex, Inc. of Hiram, Georgia, to promote the monoblade and dual blade chambers.
Constructed with five layers of carbon fiber for greater durability, Package Plast chambers are 70% lighter compared to aluminum chambers and experience no corrosion from inks, solvents or adhesives, according to ARC. Special bonding resins lower surface tension, reducing wash-up water usage by as much as 60%. Up to 11% less ink volume is required to fill the system.
