Antalis Packaging opens Virtual Smart Centre

Finding packaging solutions that can’t be solved with an off-the-shelf solution, especially in the present environment, has never been more challenging. Antalis Packaging wants to reassure the market that it has solutions that are ready for these difficult challenges and that can keep products moving in the most efficient and cost effective way possible.

Antalis has a ‘Smart Packaging Centre’ where its Packaging Technologists have already created thousands of design solutions that perfectly fit each customer’s needs – whether it’s for a tailor-made pack, new packaging system, or a combination of the two. To meet the challenges encountered by the present pandemic Antalis has created a new virtual smart centre experience, enabling the creation of packaging design from the safety of your home or office.

Jason Poxon, Antalis’ Packaging Technologist explains how the company has already helped with solutions for packing, protecting, storing, dispatching or transporting. He said, “We have recently helped a manufacturer of earth-moving equipment re-engineer a pack design for distributing nuts and bolts to sites globally, eliminating the use of plastic, cutting corrosion and reducing pallets used in distribution by 13,000 a year. An online seller of premium craft beers benefited from a new pack design that cut costs by 50%, reduced damages and improved the customer experience. A gas meter distributor now has an all-corrugated suspension pack design created by us, to hold the meter in place to prevent damage during transit and give good presentation on arrival. And finally a new pack was designed for a limited edition beauty box. The solution was cost-effective, protected the precious cargo and created the ‘wow’ factor for customers – just some of the many examples of real solutions already created for clients where we have reduced costs, improved efficiency, optimised product protection and improved logistical and warehouse performances.”
