The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) has released its April 2020 Boxboard Monthly report.
Total Boxboard production in April decreased 2% compared to April 2019. It was down 2% when compared to the same four months of 2019. The boxboard operating rate was 96.6%, up 2.3 points from April 2019 and essentially flat (-0.2 pts.) year-to-date.
Solid Bleached Boxboard production in April decreased 4% compared to April 2019. It was down 5% when compared to the same four months of 2019.
Recycled Boxboard production in April decreased 1% compared to April 2019. It was down 1% when compared to the same four months of 2019.
Unbleached Kraft & Gypsum production in April decreased 2% compared to April 2019. It was essentially flat (-0.3%) when compared to the same four months of 2019.
