The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released the October 2019 Boxboard Monthly report on 18th November. Total Boxboard production in October increased 3% compared to October 2018. It was essentially flat (-0.5%) when compared to the same 10 months of 2018. The boxboard operating rate was 91.7%, down 1.7 points from October 2018 and down 1.4 points year-to-date.
- Solid Bleached Boxboard production in October increased 7% compared to October 2018. It was essentially flat (-0.4%) when compared to the same 10 months of 2018.
- Recycled Boxboard production in October decreased 1% compared to October 2018. It was down 1% when compared to the same 10 months of 2018.
- Unbleached Kraft & Gypsum production in October increased 3% compared to October 2018. It was essentially flat (-0.1%) when compared to the same 10 months of 2018.
