The American Forest & Paper Association released its October 2016 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report on November 16. Containerboard production was 1.3 per cent higher compared to October 2015. The month-over-month average daily production compared to September 2016 was 2.1 per cent lower. The containerboard operating rate for October decreased to 95.5 per cent, while the year-to-date operating rate of 95 per cent was 0.9 percent lower compared to year-to-date 2015.
