Abbott-Action, a New England based packaging converter and protective packaging supplier, will acquire New England based French Packaging Services. Through the acquisition, Abbott-Action can offer a broader, more robust portfolio of packaging and protective packaging services that includes corrugated packaging, foam protective packaging, wood crates, and protective packaging services.
The two companies share a history dating back to 1981 when Abbott and French was formed. While the company only lasted a few years before separating and specializing in their respective disciplines, John Abbott and Allen French saw a synergy as a combined entity. Today, their sons Sam Abbott and Brian French are excited to come full circle to join once again to grow the business.
French Packaging Services will operate under the Abbott-Action brand, and Brian French will be named VP of the Protective Packaging Division. He will work closely with the Abbott-Action team to integrate the business into Abbott-Action’s offerings.
