Bickers GmbH has confirmed the installation of a tenth Bickers GLUEJET® 20.30 XY Gluer at the Display UK site in Corby.
Over the last 20 months, six Bickers XY gluers have been installed at Display’s sites in Wetherby, Corby and Dublin.The fourth Gluejet for Corby was installed just before Christmas 2021 meaning across all three sites there are now ten machines in total.
Jonathan Arthur, General Manager, Display UK and Ireland (a part of the Smurfit Kappa group) said, “We purchased the XY glue plotter from Bickers to improve social distancing and increase production on our FSDU & POS work. Safety, speed and consistency are among the features that impressed us.”
Despite the challenges of COVID-19, Bickers of Germany were able to carry out the installation quickly and safely while following government advice and using a UK based engineer.
Neil Thayer of Finishline Machinery (UK and Ireland Sales Agent for Bickers), says, “The GLUEJET® from Bickers is very popular, with 70 machines now installed in the UK and Irish markets with many more installs booked for January 2022. Key features include glue application speeds of up to 6m per sec and full access from any side around the machine.”
