Transcend Packaging Ltd, The South Wales based manufacturer of sustainable folding carton packaging, have installed the latest Eterna ECUT 1060 ER Elite die-cutter with in-line blank separating.
“The new machine represents a combination of the latest technology of efficiency, easy job setting and high speed running,” says John Hall, Managing Director, iPack Solutions Ltd (the UK representative of Eterna’s range of folding carton converting equipment). “The Ecut 1060 ER Elite offers in-line blank separating so all die-cut blanks are perfectly counted and stacked without the need for further hand separating, saving significant costs and production time.”
Good Specs
The Ecut 1060 ER Elite can handle a broad range of board; it can die-cut cartonboard from 90 to 1000 gsm, as well as corrugated board up to 4mm. The maximum sheet size is 1060 × 760mm, while the minimum sheet size is 400 x 350mm. The maximum speed is 7500 sheets per hr.

To keep downtime to a minimum when swapping the new for old machines, the installation took our Eterna Europe BV engineers four days from off-load to the first sheet,” added Hall. “The Eterna range of folding carton machinery represents excellent price/performance ratio and are built to last.”
