We are sad to report that James John (Jim) McLaren passed away on 9th October 2016 at Inverclyde Royal Hospital after a very short illness. He was a loving husband to Jennifer and proud father to sons Donald and Michael. Jim’s long and successful career in the packaging industry spanned a remarkable 60 years. He was without doubt a true character, innovator and entrepreneur who relished life and had an unquestionable passion for both people and business.
Achieving his aim never to retire, in his latter years Jim took great pride coaching and supporting Donald and Michael to run the business, ensuring his own legacy.
The funeral will take place on Monday 17th October at 3pm at Greenock Crematorium. The family have requested no flowers; however donations to the local Ardgowan Hospice will be accepted at the end of the ceremony.
