The Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) invites companies in the finishing, printing, folding carton, greeting card and binding industries to submit their best work to the 24th Annual FSEA Gold Leaf Awards Competition. This year’s theme – The Time is Now – emphasizes the opportunities provided by specialty print finishing techniques to add color, dimension and eye-catching elements to projects produced throughout the graphic arts industry.
“The FSEA Gold Leaf Awards program grows each year as extraordinary pieces are submitted from around the world,” stated Executive Director Jeff Peterson. “New technologies have fueled growth, too, with expanded award categories in areas such as cold foil transfer, digital UV inkjet and other specialty UV coatings.”
Peterson continued, “It’s a friendly competition, and the entire graphics industry is the true winner as we showcase the amazing work being done by print finishers and binders in the U.S. and internationally.”
Entries will be judged on design, execution and level of difficulty in more than 25 categories, with a gold, silver and bronze award presented in each category. A “Best of Show” award will be selected from among all of the Gold Award winners. All winners will be announced and displayed at an awards reception during the 2017 IADD·FSEA Odyssey, May 17-19 in Schaumburg, Illinois. Competition winners also will be highlighted in promotional campaigns, Folding Carton Industry magazine and other trade publications, on the FSEA web site and at industry events throughout 2017.
To submit entries or for complete information on rules, regulations and entry fees, download an entry form from the FSEA website at www.fsea.com. Entry deadline is February 17, 2017.
