The American Forest & Paper Association released its March 2017 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report on April 18. Containerboard production was 3.9 per cent higher compared to March 2016. The month-over-month average daily production compared to February 2017 was 3.1 per cent lower. The containerboard operating rate for March decreased from 97.8 per cent to 96.3 per cent, which was 3.4 per cent higher compared to March of last year.
