The installation of a new gluer at Boxes and Packaging’s Merseyside site has been a huge hit with operators and senior management team alike. The Lamina Folder Gluer CLG 1812 has increased gluing capabilities and capacity and is seamless in its operations, making it easy and efficient to process a vast array of packaging solutions.
Taking just four days to install, the machine has already made a significant difference to Merseyside’s gluing operations and with a tape-applicator for postal packs and self-seal mail order packs, more business opportunities are now available for the busy site to secure. Its compact design has had minimum impact on the layout of the factory integrating with ease into the work flow system. With touch screen activation and monitoring, operating status continually displayed and the opportunity to integrate cold gluing capabilities alongside the typical hot melt function, the machine presents operators with uncomplicated procedures which deliver high performance results.
“The Lamina Folder Gluer has already proved its worth in the machine portfolio at Merseyside and has streamlined our gluing procedures increasing efficiencies and helping work pass through the factory more quickly due to its quick set-up times and ability to cope with small quantity runs,” said Stefan Weig, Managing Director, Boxes and Packaging (Merseyside). “It has unlocked the potential for us to secure more of this type of work and we look forward to promoting this to new and existing customers in the future.”
