Following the acquisition of the RWM Exhibition by Prysm Group, they initially decided that the 2018 exhibition would be held at the NEC Birmingham in 24-25 October. Industry reposnse to this date change was not positive, as the exhibition has not long been help in September. In addition, some exhibitore had already booked hotels for 2018, the October date clashed with school half terms and the Chartered Instituation of Waste Management, who have a commercial interest in the event, were not in favour of an October date.
As a result, Prysm has confirmed that this year’s RWM will be held 12-13 September. Three of its other events (European Contamination Expo Series, Flood Expo and a Marine & Costal Civil Engineering event) will co-locate with RWM at the NEC. Whilse Prysm suggests that this will result in more exhibitores and more visitors, some executives of mmanufactirers of recovered fibre equipment are concerened that the show is coming too diverse for them and are questioning whether they will exhibit this year – especially as the show is being reduced from a three-day to two-day exhibition.
