Donoghue Packaging are manufacturers of corrugated, wood and foam protective packaging products, operating from an 85,000 sq ft facility in Cork, Ireland. The company serves a diverse customer base throughout Ireland, the UK and Eastern Europe and supply many different industries, such as pharmaceutical, electronics, aerospace, medical equipment, engineering products, I.T and telecommunications, automotive and food processing.
The company recently took delivery of a Boxmatic manual 23DCPE-D, manufactured by Solarco of the Czech Republic. “We wanted to increase our ability to serve customers with short to medium run lengths and felt that Solarco offered a great solution for quick set box making equipment,” said Ray Donoghue Jr of Donpack. “We had looked at several types of machines, but made the decision based on our good relationship with Solarco’s agent, GTS (Europe). Ths new machine means we can now supply jobs on a ‘just in time’ basis, thanks to the fact the machine needs no tooling or dies.”
“This is the first Boxmatic manual 23DCPE-D machine in Ireland,” confirms Paul Herson, Sales Manager at GTS (Europe) Ltd, Solarco’s agent for the UK and Ireland. “We are delighted to have worked closely with Ray Donoghue Jr and the team at Donpack for a smooth installation and training of their operators on this new machine. It is a great machine and offers a rapid return on investment.”
