Alex Steinmüller of SCS GmbH has confirmed that his company recently handled the sale and installation of a complete palletising system at Schumacher in Germany. Two parallel lines were installed, which can handle up to 400 pallets per hour.
“This is a fast system and will really increase productivity at the Schumacher plant,” states Steinmüller. “However, the hardest part of the project was handling the installation without disrupting production. We had to take out the old equipment once the new systems were in, so as to not disrupt the plant.”
The system was designed and supplied by Para Srl of Italy. Working with standard Europallets, the system can add a range of different top protectors (wood, plastic or corrugated board) and is able to create double piles, handle centering, wrapping and strapping all in one pass.
