Swanline CEO, Nick Kirby, will examine the merits of Single Pass versus Multi Pass corrugated digital printing at FESPA Global Print Expo 2018. Presenting at FESPA’s Digital Corrugated Experience conference, Kirby will consider how digital printing is revolutionising the market whilst complementing analogue processes and look at the challenges faced by corrugate manufacturers when introducing new technologies.
He will also shine a light on the most recent developments in both single pass and multi pass technologies and the vast opportunities they present to corrugated packaging manufacturers in responding to trends in the market such as e-commerce, versioning, personalisation and print-on-demand.
Kirby said, “The Digital Corrugated Experience provides a fantastic opportunity for visitors to hear from a range of experts in the industry and be able to ask questions and get specialist advice first-hand. Our industry is evolving significantly, with new technologies and processes coming into play all the time. It is imperative that we are open to change in order to meet the changing demands of the supply chain and our customers, yet we must also have a comprehensive understanding of the technology available to us to get the best out of it. Sometimes, it is not about replacing one technique for another. In terms of the corrugated sector, whether single-pass or multi-pass, digital or analogue, there are many opportunities for us to explore.”
The ‘Digital Corrugated Experience‘ will provide both print service providers and packaging converters the opportunity to learn more about the production of digitally printed packaging and point of sale. Each session will highlight the technological innovations changing the landscape of printing for corrugated and how digital technology is making production more flexible and dynamic.
Kirby will present at 1pm on each day of the Expo, in the Digital Corrugated Experience, located in hall 5.2, stand C40.
FESPA Global Print Expo takes place May 15-18 in Berlin, Germany, and is Europe’s largest exhibition for the wide format print industry.
