Busy Boxplan

June was a busy month for Boxplan, as it participated at two dedicated industry events. From 5th to 8th June, they took part in the Bobst Competence 18 event, where they showed its latest stripping technology. The interest from the visitors showed that stripping is an important factor for ensuring maximum performance from a die-cutter. Visitors saw a demonstration of maximum sheet capacity on a Bobst Mastercut 145. The stripping formes, made automatically using the HYBRIDsetter, stood out in particular, thanks to their ideal combination of hardened crown pins and crown claws. “What was interesting here was the fact that the crown pins and crown claws were set at three different heights over the entire sheet area. This ensured an excellent stripping result,” states Joachim Jakob, Senior Advisor at Boxplan.

From 21st to 23rd June, Boxplan attended the Lasercomb GmbH Open House event in Notzingen, Germany. The customers were shown a wide variety of automation uses for making cutting dies and stripping formes. The increasing interest in digital processing was obvious. Boxplan was represented with its HYBRIDsetter, among others. “Automatic manufacture of stripping formes in top quality, at short notice and at calculable cost, is the right step for the future of die manufacturing,” contiues Jakob. “The aim is to cover all areas of use with a single technology. It is irrelevant here whether it is cartonboard or corrugated board that has to be processed – it’s one technology for all applications. At a time when the number of skilled employees is reaching its limits, automation is the only answer.”
