A family business established in 1897, Cartoneo is a specialist in the design, printing and manufacturing of packaging and point-of-sale (POS) displays. The French packaging converter is now all set to install an HP PageWide C500 Press at its site in Vaux Lès Saint Claude in southeastern France at the end of this year. Today, Cartoneo runs two offset machines and found the HP solution the closest to its current offset quality. This investment will make them the first company in France to utilise this high-volume digital corrugated printing solution.
Cartoneo is focused on high-quality packaging for industrial and winery applications. The HP PageWide C500 Press for single-pass, direct-to-board production combines digital simplicity with offset replaceable print quality on both coated and uncoated paper, running at 75m per min.
“The HP PageWide C500 will deliver the same print quality with digital benefits, including reduced inventory, variable data and security and anti-counterfeiting marks,” said Edmond Perrier, CEO Cartoneo. “This solution will also enable Cartoneo to grow business into food packaging.”
