Slovakia-based Nikara was established by Róbert Jurových in 1991 as a copy shop and book binding specialist. Since then, they grown into a decent sized business, with six offset presses and fully automatic book binding division. They employ over 70 people today.
Nikara is not a typical customer from the packaging or digital print industry, but is one of the largest book producers in Slovakia. “Books needs some added value, with nice presentation boxes or hard covers for a series or special occasion,” explains Jurových. “We are always looking at ways to serve our customers better, so we decided to invest in a Lamina Gluer to enable us to produce better hard covers. We can now produce a lot more solidboard covers for special books thanks to the productivity offered by the Lamina Gluer.”
