Andrew Mitchell, Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Europe, visited Saica’s Greater Manchester mill located in Carrington to see the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on 6th March. Pedro Gascón, Managing Director of SAICA Group received Andrew Mitchell for Europe together with David Hilton, Head of Business Development at Manchester’s Investment Development Agency Service (MIDAS) and Karen Davies, Account Manager at MIDAS.
Mr Mitchell also visited the power plant and learned in detail about the complete paper mill operation and strategic lay-out.
In 2006, Saica group entered the UK market and since then the group has made €620 million investment in the country.
