Metsä Group has reported on the period January–September 2019, with sales confirmed at €4,183m (€4,290m). Operating result was €342 million (€635m).
The company wanred that comparable operating result is in the fourth quarter of 2019 are expected to weaken from the third quarter of 2019.
President and CEO Ilkka Hämälä, said, “Metsä Group’s third quarter result weakened, as expected, compared to the previous quarter. Metsä Board issued a positive profit warning immediately after the end of the third quarter. The result remained at the level of the previous quarter due to the stronger than expected paperboard market.”
