Voith has confirmed that it has successfully attained Level 2 of the Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. (BME) Certification for Sustainable Procurement.
This achievement underlines the commitment to deeply integrating sustainability into the procurement strategy and continuously improving processes. Key milestones include:
- Establishing a comprehensive sustainable procurement strategy with clear goals and measures.
- Integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into procurement processes and guidelines.
- Compliance with regulatory requirements, such as the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
- Providing targeted training programs to raise awareness and expertise in sustainable procurement across the organization.
