McKinley Packaging, a subsidiary of Bio Pappel, has inaugurated a new corrugated box plant in Lancaster, TX.
The facility, which received its certificate of occupancy in late 2024, spans 500,000 sq ft and represents the company’s seventh packaging plant in the US. This strategic expansion is expected to bolster McKinley’s production capacity and sustainability efforts.
The Lancaster plant is designed to minimise environmental impact through zero-discharge water usage and advanced recycling technologies. This aligns with McKinley’s commitment to sustainable operations and Bio Pappel’s initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote circular economies in the packaging sector. The new plant is anticipated to generate approximately 125 jobs when operating at full capacity, offering positions from production line workers to management.
A representative from the city’s economic development team was quoted by a news agency as saying, “The arrival of McKinley Packaging is a huge win for Lancaster and our residents. This project not only creates jobs but also positions Lancaster as a leader in sustainable industrial development.”
