TRICOR Group is expanding its Executive Board team with the appointment of Tom Wetzel as of 1 January 2025.
In his new role as COO, Wetzel (pictured left), who has held a management position at the company since April 2024, will be responsible for operations at the company’s 16 European sites.
Wetzel brings more than 20 years of industry experience from well-known international companies in the paper and packaging sectors. In addition to his high level of technical expertise, Wetzel has extensive experience in managing multi-site and international teams.

Over the past few months, he has gained deeper insights into the TRICOR organisation and has already provided valuable input into our processes and strategic initiatives. His high level of technical expertise, coupled with a clear understanding of the company’s operational challenges and opportunities, make him the ideal candidate for this role,” said Kyle Baker, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the TRICOR Group.
