Papeterie Saint-Michel in France is to be liquidated

It has been reported in the trade press that Papeterie Saint-Michel is in the process of being liquidated.

The French paper and packaging company has been in receivership since April. Earlier this month, the Angoulême regional court placed the company in liquidation.

Papeterie de Saint Michel, which is part of the Groupe Thiollet, operates two paper machines, producing testliner and fluting from 115 to 170gsm, producing approximately 75,000 tonnes per annum.

Groupe Thiollet also owns and operates a corrugated board plant, Gatineaux-Thiollet – this is not affected by the liquidation of Papeterie Saint-Michel.
