The next release of WEBcnx – Arden Software’s project management software for packaging – is now available.
Web-based platform WEBcnx integrates with Arden’s packaging CAD/CAM software Impact, as well as other workflow systems, acting as a virtual project manager.
The workflow solution enables users to automate the project management of their packaging production from wherever they are in the world, streamlining workflow in the packaging supply chain.
WEBcnx 2024.1 has now been released, bringing with it the most significant improvements in performance along with some much sought-after new features and enhancements. Key updates in WEBcnx 2024.1 include:
- Streamlined Standards browsing offering easier and faster browsing and searching of Standards including FEFCO, ECMA and displays;
- A new Quick Layout module enables users to create efficient, customer-specific manufacturing layouts quickly and easily;
- Custom Field Expressions supporting real-time calculations to compute complex figures, including customer specific data in an Excel-style format;
- The form designer has undergone a significant redevelopment with a much easier to use and more responsive user interface;
- The overall user interface has also had a refresh to improve the usability for touchscreen and mobile users;
- In addition to the end user improvements, WEBcnx 2024.1 has also had the first phase of improvements to the installation, upgrade and configuration of the software.
From order entry to design, WEBcnx was created specifically for the packaging industry, linking the different parts of a business together to ensure people know what to do and when to do it. It’s compatible with Arden’s Impact CAD software and is also fully customisable to customers’ individual workflow systems, and has the ability to integrate customers and suppliers into the design and approval process.
Peter Barke, Product Manager, Arden Software UK, said: “We are always striving to enhance our software to deliver the best possible user experience and efficiency for our customers. WEBcnx 2024.1 embodies this commitment, with significant performance improvements and new features that will help streamline workflow across the packaging supply chain.”
He continued, “This latest release marks a continuation of our new development process where we’ve transitioned to more frequent, smaller updates, focussing on key areas of the software, ensuring our users can benefit from the latest advancements and improvements on a regular basis. We’re excited about our future roadmap for our WEBcnx software, as it continues to evolve alongside the needs of our customers and the packaging industry.”
The Arden Software Development Team is already working on key improvements for later releases, which includes enhancing the Database Window design to the newer style interface and a continuation of improvements to the installation, upgrade and configuration of the software.
