BHS Corrugated has once again been honoured with the ‘Best Managed Companies Award’ – a prize and seal of quality for outstandingly managed companies.
The company continued its previous successes this year and was able to impress the jury of experts for the third time in a row. Thomas List, CFO, accepted the award at the award ceremony on 23 May 2024 in Frankfurt am Main. The awards are presented by Deloitte Private, UBS, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V.
“We are proud to once again be among the Best Managed Companies! The repeated recognition represents our values and goals, which are deeply rooted in our company. At the same time, it confirms our commitment and the willingness of our employees to continuously change and innovate in order to offer our customers first-class and innovative solutions,” says List.
With its Box Plant 2025 strategy, BHS Corrugated offers a comprehensive portfolio of future-oriented solutions and services for the corrugated cardboard industry. The company’s goal is to increase productivity in its customers’ corrugated board plants and reduce costs at the same time. This mission is implemented through a holistic view of the value creation processes within the plants, the use of innovative technologies as well as automation and digitalization. Compatibility with ESG aspects is becoming increasingly important.
“BHS Corrugated is an excellent example of a Best Managed Company that impresses with its powerful mix of vision, productivity, innovative spirit and strong, value-oriented leadership. In addition, the company has the remarkable ability to harmonize attractive work and economic growth. It is an example of how companies can make a big difference in their region,” said Christine Wolter, Partner and Lead, Deloitte Private.
The basic requirements to qualify for the Best Managed Companies Award are a minimum annual turnover of €150m and the company’s headquarters in Germany. In addition, the companies must be medium-sized or family-run businesses and have demonstrated successful economic development in recent years. The companies are assessed in four categories: strategy, productivity and innovation, culture and commitment as well as governance and finance. Based on the application documents and the evaluations of the personal interviews, the Best Managed Companies Award expert panel defined the shortlist – the award winners were then selected by a jury consisting of renowned representatives from business, science and the media.
