Darren Clargo, EMGE Paper Industry Consultants, says that the global cartonboard sector has been recovering strongly from last year’s market downcycle.
According to the latest EMGE Cartonboard Monitor, the report suggests demand growth in Western Europe alone hit double-digit percentages earlier this year, and they expect the recovery to continue over the coming months.
“This should help Cartonboard manufacturers further improve their Utilisation Rates, which remain below the levels reached two years ago,” confirms Clargo.
