Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has confirmed the tee-off of its inaugural FFTA Scholarship Golf Outing, an afternoon of casual golfing and networking that brings together printers, suppliers, and all members of today’s flexographic industry in support of tomorrow’s flexographic industry.
The Outing takes place, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Saturday, May 4 — one day before the start of FORUM & INFOFLEX 2024 — at Topgolf in Overland Park, KS. All net proceeds from the Outing go to the FFTA Scholarship Fund, which is used each year to award exceptional students studying flexography or graphic communications with a $3,000 FFTA Scholarship.
“Every company in the flexographic industry has its own challenges, but the one universally echoed is a shortage of skilled, dedicated and eager workers,” said Joe Tuccitto, FTA director of education. “Since the turn of the century, FFTA’s scholarship program has worked to overcome this challenge. I encourage all flexographers to join us in continuing that work through this special event that benefits the FFTA Scholarship program.”
The outing replaces the Emerging Leaders Golf Outing while maintaining its focus on the next generation of flexographers. Golfers can compete in a wide selection of games and individual-focused contests like hole-in-one, closest to the pin and longest drive. Registration for the FFTA Scholarship Golf Outing is open now and priced at $150 per golfer or $825 for a six-person bay. All ages, segments and skill levels are invited to participate.
