Giovanni Bettini, Head of Sales, MHI EMEA, has confirmed the company commissioned a four colour EVOL 100 flexo folder gluer at Klingele’s Hilpoltstein factory in Germany in the summer.
The Hilpoltstein facility in Bavaria was originally built in 1959. Today, the site serves customers in the German federal states of Bavaria and Thuringia. The new EVOL 100 for the Hilpoltstein site has been supplied with an MPF pre-feeder, to allow the machine to run at maximum speed. The line also features Mitsubishi’s DBEC (an automatic system with conveyor to eject bundles with defective boxes), and a robot palletiser from MuK. Following a successful start-up in July, the machine has now been running on 2-3 shifts per day for over four months.
“The customer was happy with the smooth installation and start up process and is fully satisfied with the machine so far,” states Bettini. “This is the second EVOL line to be running within the Klingele Group – the first was installed at the company’s factory in Delmenhorst. The customer chose the EVOL for its high performance and excellent folding accuracy. These are two features that our customers like about the EVOL.”
Bettini concludes, “Our thanks go to the operators and management team at Klingele, all of whom helped ensure we had a smooth installation and fast start-up. This is now the fourth EVOL installed in Germany and we are grateful to the ongoing support of customers like Klingele in this important market.”
