FastBox to add PAC-40 and other systems

UK-based FastBox Ltd has confirmed that investment continues apace at its Leeds facility.

The next round of investments are being made towards the continual improvement of products and services. The following investments have been identified as critical to the growth of the company and to create additional value-added services for customers.

  • Construction of a new purpose-built CAD Studio, which will be the new home of the existing Kongsberg XL Digital Cutting Table. The new studio will also play a vital role in the improvement of Quality & Environment objectives;
  • Development of an in-house Soak Testing lab, to be contained within the CAD Studio, to provide additional services to customers such as identifying the exact grade of existing products, and for the purposes of quality testing products for customers which require this traceability;
  • Construction of an additional meeting room, to enable more customers to visit the Leeds manufacturing site, meet the team and to assist in the implementation of future projects;
  • A PAC-40 fully automatic sticher gluer line (pictured below). This machine complements the two existing Sodeme Stitcher/Gluers;
  • Implementation of KM Software SPOCS32 Shopfloor Data & S32 Planner software;
  • Investment into the creation of an internal Consumables Management System, to monitor inventory levels of consumables.

“With these investments, and many more to come, Fastbox is aiming to further cement its standing within the industry as a dependable supplier of just-in-time corrugated packaging, whilst providing extra value to customers and improve their packaging purchasing experience,” says Jonathan Fuller, Managing Director. “These developments and acquisitions are both intrinsic elements of our overall development strategy. We are constantly evolving to meet customer needs and to expand into new markets.”
