Geraldo Martins, Managing Director of Portugal-based RIBAEMBAL sa has confirmed the company is investing in a new converting line to help increase the production of high quality printed corrugated boxes.
The company has purchased an FFG BOXLINE 9.25 from BIMAC of Italy, which will be installed in Ribaembal’s factory in Vila Da Aves, about 40km north-east of Porto. Delivery is expected in the first half of 2023.
“We were looking for a European manufactured FFG 2500, with Siemens components and the FFG Boxline fully satisfied these our needs,” explains Martins. “After viewing several installations of the Boxline FFG at other sites in Europe, we liked the fast order change and the easy software programming.”
The new flexo folder gluer will be equipped with lead edge feeder with dust vacuum cleaner, three top vacuum printing units with IR dryers, rotary die-cut unit, slotting unit with independent central head slot and folder gluer with variable speed belts for accurate box quality, top loading counter ejector, all controlled by CNC computer with HDMI touch screen panel.
