Baysek C170 for Box-It Ireland in Belfast

Belfast, Northern Ireland-based Box-It Ireland have chosen a Baysek flatbed die-cutter to further grow their business.

The company was founded in 2006 and has grown continuously since then, adding a new purpose-built site in Newry where the new die-cutter will be installed. Box-It produce a wide variety of packaging in multiple sectors, including food packaging and pharma packaging, which was one of the main reasons for investing in Baysek, due to the machine’s stripping capabilities for difficult interior waste removal.

Barry McAllister, Managing Director, said, “We have always liked the Baysek die-cutter and its versatility and ‘one-person operation’ which will reduce some of our manual labour costs while increasing output. One big benefit of having this machine is the nick-free, multiple-out die-cuts which will improve both our productivity and expansion plans. After we viewed the machine in a live production environment and witnessed the machine’s capabilities, we knew this was our next investment.”

Robert Jess, UK & Europe Sales, Baysek, adds, “The servo-driven C170 is the perfect fit for Box-It and their business model. The machine will give Box-It the ability to handle higher volume packaging runs and increase capacity even further, penetrate new markets and diversify their product portfolio. The machine will be installed Autumn 2022.”
