Liner Italia adds a second Chroma EVO from Celmacch Group

Liner Italia International is a leading producer of pizza boxes. The company has been producing packaging for the food and beverage sector for more than 35 years and has two plants in Italy — one in Limbiate and one in Ceriano Laghetto (both just outside Milan). In addition to the sites in Italy, the company also operates a plant in Romania. Liner is equipped with two complete corrugators for the production of corrugated board, one of which is located in the plant of Ceriano Laghetto.

In 2017, Celmacch Group installed a Chroma EVO 1700 four-colour printing machine at Liner’s facility in Ceriano Laghetto. This printing machine was installed in front of a BOBST Expertcut. Since then, the Chroma EVO 1700 has been working efficiently and continuously resulting in great satisfaction for the customer.

To consolidate its position within market, Liner has decided to expand its production capacity by installing a second flexo printer in Ceriano Laghetto. Liner has chosen once again a Celmacch Chroma EVO with left side operation. This second machine has also been positioned in line with a Bobst Expertcut flat bed die-cutter, and thanks to the mirrored layout with the previously installed EVO printer, the two installations work in parallel to achieve the highest levels of efficiency.

The printer, installed in May 2021, is an HBL bottom printing configuration and it’s equipped with four printing units. The whole line features direct drive technology and a high precision vacuum transport system.

“One of the strengths of Celmacch’s technology is the use of first-class components and the robustness of the line,” explains Luca Celotti, General Manager, Celmacch Group. “Ease of use and contained maintenance costs are both features that are highly appreciated in the market, especially in the case of lines which run continuously on several shifts without interruptions.”

He concludes, “The installation of two twin lines in a mirrored layout is a source of great pride for us, as it testifies the satisfaction and loyalty of our customers. It’s a clear sign of how Celmacch Group’s strategy – based on achieving the highest levels of quality and solidity for its machines combined with competitive operational costs – is proving to be effective.”
