The Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) is actively promoting the BIR World Recycling Convention & Exhibition which will take place online from 31 May to 2 June 2021.
With governments across the globe committing to ambitious climate goals, recycling as a measure for achieving circularity continues to play an important role in the development of green policies worldwide. This year’s BIR World Recycling Convention will take the form of a new, innovative “TV-format“ that will provide a constant stream of insightful plenary sessions and panel discussions as well as on-demand news, interviews, market reports, company videos, and entertaining content.
Visitors will have the chance to hear valuable insights from leading experts such as Tom Bird, President at BIR, Emmanuel Katrakis, Secretary General at the European Recycling Industries’ Confederation (EuRIC) and Emile Bruls, advisor to the Dutch Ministry of Water and Infrastructure. In her keynote speech on cosmic sustainability, Lucy Hawking, daughter of theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, will explain why the universe is in fact a recycler.
You’ll find further information on the Convention’s key sessions below and on the Convention’s website.
