Green Bay Packaging was recently recognized by The Department of Natural Resources for its outstanding recycling and waste minimization efforts in Wisconsin. Through the annual Recycling Excellence Award program, the company won the Innovation Award for demonstrating innovative approaches to recycling.
They won the “Wisconsin Recycling Excellence Award for Innovation” for their continued effort to reduce water use in the paper manufacturing process. Over the past few years, the mill achieved a 15% reduction in overall water use. They’ve also provided resource savings to the local community by improving water reuse and recycling and reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.
