Brian O’Banion has joined the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) as Vice President of Research & Education. He has nearly 20 years of trade association management experience addressing packaging industry issues in a wide variety of areas, including technical, environmental, health, safety, RFID, competing materials, and sustainability. He also has notable experience within the global food and beverage packaging technologies space. Previously, he was Director of Technical Services at the Fibre Box Association.
O’Banion will play a critical role in establishing and executing the ISTA’s long-range strategy and vision for research programs and education services. His focus will be the development, delivery, and maintenance of educational programs related to ISTA’s mission as well as the management and execution of ISTA’s growing research efforts.
